Mangalaubon, RMUTT- On December 8, 2014 the two universities signed the Memorandum of Understanding, Nagoya University was represented by Prof. Michinari Hamaguchi, President and witnessed by Prof. Seiichi Matsuo, Vice President while on the part of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi was represented by Assoc. Prof. Prasert Pinpathomrat, Ph.D., President and witnessed by Asst. Prof. Sommai Pivsa-Art, Ph. D., Vice President, and the said event was attended by several dignitaries from the diplomatic community, UNESCO, OHEC, JASSO, Japanese Business Community in Thailand, Officials of Nagoya University, Officials of RMUTT, and several members of faculty and staff of both universities.
The parties, based upon the principles of respect for each party’s independence and of mutual benefit, agreed to collaborate in the following activities;
1. Exchange students
2. Exchange of professors, research scholars and staff
3. Conduct of international collaborative research
4. Holding of international research conference, symposium and workshops
5. Exchange of scientific materials, publications and informations and
6. Other activities within the range of interest of parties such as sharing of each party’s facilities
Nagoya University is famous not only in the field of engineering, science and technology, but in all fields of learning in Japan. The signing of MOU will provide us with a stronger commitment to working closely with Nagoya University and learn from its best practices that will eventually benefit RMUTT to reach its goal “the internationalization of education”.
This is very important for RMUTT aside from the fact that this occasion underlines the policy of RMUTT for its commitment in supporting international collaborations and working with Nagoya University is a big help to RMUTT in enhancing its engineering, scientific, and technological advancement that something it can adapt from Nagoya University on a mutual working partnership and a stronger bilateral cooperation. Nagoya University is a distinguished and a leading university not only in Japan but globally, in fact Nagoya University has produced six Nobel Prize winners. Nobel Prize is the highest award that is presented or awarded to any individual in recognition to their work that has a great impact to the world.
