Ladies and Gentlemen, Good afternoon!
It is a great honor on my part to have the chance to address you in this notable moment as RMUTT is the host of ESTA 2015 for four successive years. This is very important for us aside from the fact that this event underlines our university’s never ending commitment in supporting International Collaborations with IIT ATT and enhancing a stronger bilateral cooperation when it comes to educational matters. We are delighted to host this event again.
I would like to recall that, ESTA was started in 2011, hosted by RMUTT and participated by ASEAN universities plus universities from TAIWAN and South Korea. For two years the Executive members of IIT AAT decided not to invite universities outside the ASEAN region. After the successful event for the past three years and for the fourth time RMUTT is delighted to host ESTA 2015 again.
Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, ESTA was established to promote friendly competition among engineering students of ASEAN universities to bring the spirit of friendship and cultural understanding among participants of 10 ASEAN countries in preparation of AEC plus India. Friendship and Cultural understanding comes first before competition. I congratulate the winners as well as participants who make it here representing their respective university.
In closing, I would like to express my gratitude to the Indian Government through its Embassy in Thailand, IIT AAT Executive members, steering and organizing committees,winners of ESTA 2015, distinguished guests and delegates for their full cooperation and commitment to ESTA 2015. You make this event very successful and fruitful. See you again next year for ESTA 2016.
